Vaca to San Diego in August

So Pete and I have been discussing things we want to do when we visit San Diego in August. Being my first time to Cali, he’s super excited, as well as I, about me getting to visit with him and seeing his hometown. I’m only going for 1 week instead of the 2 since I started school on Monday, August 31st, so I’m going from the 22nd to the 30th. Here’s just a couple of things we want to do:

• San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park (I LOVELOVELOVE Zoos!)
• Padres vs Cardinals baseball game at Petco (I’ve never been to a baseball game)
• Balboa Park (Heard this place was beautiful with all the trees and museums)
• A couple of Wineries (I LOVELOVELOVE Wine!)

Total $320 - $420

Like I said, that’s just a few things we want to do. We wanted to go up to Napa Valley and visit a few wineries there, but money is tight right now and we don’t wanna be broke by the end of this trip. For both of to fly out there, too, it’s going to run us about $500 roundtrip, plus our $320-420 on the fun things we wanna do. We’re definitely going to spend most of our time with friends and family, going to the beach, eating as cheap as possible, and enjoying this time with each other. Right now, we’re looking at about $1500-$2000 (over-estimate) for a total of 2 weeks (I’ll only be there for 8 days).

I’m soooooo looking forward to getting out there and spending time with each other. The one thing I told him that he and I have to do, just the two of us alone, is have one night where we go sit on the beach with a bottle of wine and watch the sunset. That’s the one thing that I asked of him that just be me and him. Romantic, I know. :-) That’s why I wanna do it. Hah!

I know we’re going to spend time in downtown San Diego, Oceanside, Coronado, Escondido, Carlsbad, Newport Beach, possibly Los Angeles and Tijuana, Mexico.

Ugh…I want to go NOW.
